Product Description :
As a flavorless gum, Sodium Alginate is used by the foods industry to increase viscosity and as an emulsifier.
It is also used in indigestion tablets and the preparation of dental impressions.
A major application for sodium alginate is in reactive dye printing, as thickener for reactive dyestuffs (such as the Procion cotton-reactive dyes) in textile screen-printing and carpet jet-printing. Alginates do not react with these dyes and wash out easily, unlike starch-based thickeners. Sodium alginate is a good chelator for pulling radioactive substances from the body, such as iodine-131 and strontium-90, that have taken the place of their non-radioactive counterparts.It is also used in immobilizing enzymes by inclusion.

Iodine is a purple-black non-metallic solid at standard conditions that melts to form a deep violet liquid at 114 degrees Celsius, and boils to a violet gas at 184 degrees Celsius. Iodine and its compounds are primarily used in nutrition. Due to its high atomic number and ease of attachment to organic compounds, it has also found favor as a non-toxic radiocontrast material. Menthol crystals are a 100% natural product that originate from cornmint (Mentha arvensis) essential oil extraction. Menthol is the solid constituent of oil of mint, to which the characteristic odor is due. Menthol crystals are cooling, refreshing, and have a pleasantly strong minty aroma. Menthol crystals are produced through mentha oil extraction. Menthol is the solid constituent of oil of mint. Menthol is obtained by subjecting the distilled oil to a temperature of -22° C, (-7.6° F.) by the aid of a freezing mixture, the menthol crystallizes out in satiny crystals and the mother liquor is removed while the low temperature is maintained. They dissolve readily into alcohol or essential oils, and they can also be dissolved into water or oil at their melting point of 111.2 deg. F.
