PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Stearic acid, also called Octadecanoic Acid, one of the most common long-chain fatty acids, found in combined form in natural animal and vegetable fats. Commercial “stearic acid” is a mixture of approximately equal amounts of stearic and palmitic acids and small amounts of oleic acid.
We offer Stearic Acid which is one of the useful saturated fatty acids extracted form animal and vegetable fats and oils. The salts and esters of stearic acid are called stearates and is useful in:
- Softening rubber
- Soap
- Plastic
- Cosmetic Candle making
- Added to the product in molten form and allowed to crystallize under controlled conditions
